R. Stephen Suettinger is a distinguished writer, producer, and director who has marked his foray into the cinematic world with his first narrative feature directorial debut, 'A Year and Change.' With Bryan Greenberg, Claire van der Boom, T.R. Knight, Marshall Allman, Jamie Hector, Kat Foster, Natasha Rothwell, and Jamie Chung, the movie premiered at the famous Hollywood Chinese Theaters during the Dances With Films festival. The movie received an overwhelming response and was quickly picked up for distribution by Vision Films. It is now available on multiple platforms like iTunes, Amazon, Directv, and Hulu.

A talented individual, Stephen has had a splendid career path. He graduated from Colgate University with a double major in Molecular Biology and Music, after which he worked on many feature films that shot around the Washington DC area. After this, he worked as a Production Coordinator for the Discovery Channel before directing his first short film, Writing Wrongs. Stephen has an MFA from the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. There, he was chosen for the Fotokem Student Filmmaker Grant to help produce his thesis project, Wentworth. His film Wentworth played at fifteen festivals where it received several accolades, while also being picked up by IMAGEMAKERS, a PBS television program focusing on emerging filmmakers.

Stephen then went on to work in the motion capture feature world, starting with Beowulf, and later working on Avatar, where he served as one of James Cameron’s primary note takers. His experience in the movie world also included directing the sitcom television pilot American Bar and creating a music video for the hard rock band Earth at Night. After a ten-year stint in Los Angeles, he started his own production company, Pebble Hill Films.

Pebble Hill Films deals with fictional films, online, and video content for several noteworthy clients like Deloitte, MedStar, and Re-Max. Stephen is a member of the DGA and currently working on a project titled Mixed, which is about growing up biracial.
