Overview: Originally hired to build out a global talent recruiting organization but owned performance development, L&D, and an overarching "People First" people team for an HR tech company tripling in size in 18 months. While also building & growing global culture, and locations, and leading all other talent management and HR efforts.

Built out and led a people team and people processes; implemented a global ATS in the first 6 months across the US, EMEA, APAC & India.

Built, implemented, and launched a global performance management system in under a year using our internal product to educate and track development and performance.

Partner with C level to understand their specific teams' needs and help solve for them or build bespoke solutions.

Have achieved all hiring targets since hire and lowered turnover by 23% in FY23.

Founding member of the DEI Council, implementing new DEI strategies across the organization. As well as Eco Warriors, a group dedicated to making us “B Corp” certification and other environmental accomplishments.

Overview: Hired to build out a talent recruiting organization and processes to scale for a real estate tech company doubling in size in 12 months.

Decreased time to hire by 30% in the first 6 months by building and implementing processes unique to OJO as a company.

Grew the talent acquisition team from 2 to 8 in the first 7 months on the job.

Achieved 90% of hiring targets since implementing said targets on January 21.

Partnered with the People Ops team, calling on my wealth of experience in that field to build and implement programs around diversity and inclusion, internships, referral programs, employee training, and culture building.

Idean (now called Frog) was a design consultancy focused on solving design and engineering problems and generating ideas for some of the world's largest and most recognizable brands.

Overview: Responsible for policies, HR budget, the success of global talent as it pertains to talent acquisition, employee experience, development and education, and expansion of studios through acquisition and traditional growth. 

Decreased global turnover from 23% to 13% in the first 15 months in the role.

Lowered the time-to-hire by approximately 25% from an average of 8 weeks to 6 weeks.

Led Idean through its most aggressive growth stage, increasing headcount on average by 42% YOY across 3 years before the acquisition.

Built and implemented a 401k program, parental leave policy, and flex time policy.

Integral in both acquisition due diligence and building of integration plans for acquired companies. Have worked on acquisition teams in the USA, France, the UK, and Germany.

Independently responsible for all cross-studio resourcing and transfers for 13 studios across 10 time zones.

I joined the documentary film company with the goal of going to Japan to film a 500 mile bike journey from Tokyo to Osaka, and getting the film into the Bicycle Film Festival the following year. As a producer, I was responsible for not only raising the $12,000 (in 5 months) from sponsorships but also the logistics of the entire trip (airfare, routing, equipment rental and purchase, and hotels). As trip manager, I was responsible for maintaining the overall happiness of the the riders while keeping the overall goal of the film in mind. I succeeded in raising the $12,000 through various companies including Kenda Tires, Good Magazine, Knog Components, Cinelli Bikes, Carhart Clothing, and Specialized. With my guidance, perseverance, and sales and marketing skills, the film was accepted into the International Bicycle Film Festival and was shown in over 125 cities in 22 different countries worldwide.

- Highlight: Opened and sold Antics Distribution into Zappos.com, something previously thought unattainable.
- Grew the overall territory from $850,000 to $3.1 million dollars in 3 years. 
- Managed 125+ accounts varying in size, from small independent retailers to large multi-million dollar companies such as Zappos.com.
- Worked closely with several surf, skate, and snow industry companies (Osiris Shoes, Dragon Optics, Antics Distribution) as an Account Executive and Territory Manager. 
- Showed product lines, locked-in pre-booked orders, generated “at once” business in addition to pre-booked orders, and managed delivery dates as well as in-store product levels and merchandising for all accounts.
- Highlight: Opened business with LAPD SWAT, the most renowned and respected SWAT team in the country.

In September of 2007 I was hired as a sales associate and quickly rose up the ranks of responsibility. After 6 months, I became the Manager and Buyer of the 5,000 square foot store. As Manager, I assisted customers in large and small purchases and helped the shop to run in an efficient manner throughout the workweek. As Buyer I was responsible for all ordering, receiving, and placement of new product as well as staying within quarterly and annual budgets.

As a representative for Ariat, the largest Western and English equestrian outfitter in the world, I had many responsibilities. I was responsible for managing the Ariat product in over 50 stores in California and Las Vegas, while also attending special Ariat sponsored events all over the U.S. and Canada. It was my duty to make sure the employees of the retail stores were educated on the product and all current promotions.

In early 2004, I started my own music management company, Toro Management. In this position, I managed various musical acts on some of the county’s larger tours and festivals, including the Vans Warped Tour and SXSW. Job duties included: logistics and transportation, equipment maintenance, and overall production of the show. I dealt with accounts payable and was responsible for the safety and overall happiness of the band (the most challenging of all the responsibilities). I also oversaw the design and production of merchandise and relations between the band and the record labels.

While managing, I succeeded in getting acts signed to record and distribution deals; getting acts extensive press in various online and print publications. I also assisted in the overall production of the records.
