Mauro Carta is a distinguished professor in Applied Medical Technologies at the University of Cagliari, with extensive experience in liaison psychiatry and psychosomatics. He is also a former head of degree courses in rehabilitation and a past president of the Mediterranean Society on Mental Health. As co-chairman of the WHO-UNICA Agreement, he helps implement the WHO-QualityRights Project. Moreover, he advises the European Union's Economic and Social Commitee and is a senior project leader for the Empowering Persons with Psychosocial Disabilities initiative.
