Keith Nixon is a highly experienced credit union professional with over 40 years of dedicated service to the industry. He has a deep understanding of co-operative principles and how they underpin the credit union model. Growing up on a farm in rural Saskatchewan, Keith developed a strong affinity for the values of people helping people. With a Certificate in Administration from the University of Regina and a Fellow of the Institute, Financial Services from the Credit Union Institute of Canada, Keith is well-educated and has a solid foundation to build on.
Keith has built an impressive career, serving credit union members, management, and boards of directors across Saskatchewan and throughout Canada. He has held senior roles such as CEO of SaskCentral, Executive Vice-President & Corporate Secretary at SaskCentral, Director, Government and Public Affairs at SaskCentral, and Financial Analyst / Manager, Loss Prevention at Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation. Keith has also served on several boards, including the Canadian Credit Union Association, Credit Union Central of Canada, Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation, Sherwood Co-operative Association Limited, and Ignite Adult Learning Corporation Foundation.
One of Keith's greatest joys is his family. As a proud husband and father, he enjoys spending time with his family, including his dog, horse, nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Keith's rural upbringing has instilled in him a love of the outdoors and a keen interest in agriculture and environmental sustainability.
