Katrin Sif is a seasoned travel writer, blogger, and guide with extensive experience in eco-tourism. She has traveled to all seven continents, over 200 countries, and has written for various publications, including magazines, newspapers, and websites. Katrin holds a Master's degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, and another Master's degree in Environment and Natural Resources from Haskoli Islands.

With a passion for eco-tourism, Katrin's expertise lies in defining, promoting and implementing sustainable eco-tourism practices in developing countries, which will be the focus of her upcoming Ph.D. in tourism studies. Katrin has contributed to numerous travel publications including World Nomads, Dohop, and Guide to Iceland, and worked as a technical writer at MAZDIS where she put her skills to work documenting technical specifications, instructions, and other materials. In addition, Katrin has worked in marketing and product testing at Cintamani and as a freewaters ambassador and product tester at Freewaters Footwear.
