Jarrett Carter Sr is an accomplished communications professional with experience in both public and private sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in journalism from Morgan State University, and a Master's degree in Communications Management from Towson University.

Throughout his career, Jarrett has held multiple positions in PR and communications, including Communications Manager at Howard County Government, Senior Communications Specialist at Baltimore Gas & Electric, Associate Director of Public Relations at Morgan State University, and Assistant Director of Public Relations and Communications at Morgan State University.

Additionally, Jarrett is the founder of HBCU Digest, a news and opinion website focused on historically black colleges and universities. Through his work at HBCU Digest, Jarrett has become a prominent voice on issues facing HBCUs and has received several awards in recognition of his contributions.

Jarrett's expertise includes communications strategy, crisis communications, media relations, writing and editing, and public speaking. His passion for HBCUs and education is evident in his work and advocacy for the institutions.
