Chen Li is a highly skilled and experienced Electrochemist with over 10 years of research and development experience in the battery and electrochemistry industry. Chen is a known expert in designing customized Li-ion cells, scaling up novel battery technologies from lab to manufacturing, and leading joint developments with cell manufacturers, material suppliers, and startups. Chen has been an Adjunct Professor at San Jose State University, and has held senior roles at Tesla, Zee.Aero, and General Motors. Chen holds a Ph.D. in Electrochemistry from Research Center Juelich, Germany, and the University of Bern, Switzerland. Chen's skills include electrode material synthesis, cell fabrication, electrochemical analytical technology, electrochemical modeling and simulation, statistical analysis, battery management systems, and diagnosis and postmortem analysis of cells, modules, and packs.
