Jeff Potter is a highly experienced and accomplished Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and software engineer. He has worked with various startups and non-profit organizations, building great Internet technology and creating user-centric products. His educational background in Computer Science and Visual Arts (Double Concentration, A.B.) from Brown University, equipped Jeff with the skills and knowledge to lead and manage software engineering teams.

Currently, Jeff is the CTO at Enveritas, a Y Combinator-backed non-profit that focuses on certifying coffee beans to improve the lives of millions of farmers. He is leading the engineering, data, and innovation teams to build systems that collect and analyze data on farmers in different countries, providing key insights to clients. Before Enveritas, he was the VP of Engineering at Food52, where he led a team that built systems used by editorial and ecommerce teams, and millions of users worldwide. Additionally, he was the Director of Backend Engineering at Hillary for America during the first summer of her 2016 Presidential Campaign.

Jeff is an author of a food science book, Cooking for Geeks (O'Reilly, 2015), which has sold hundreds of thousands of copies worldwide. He is also a technical advisor to a non-profit that uses Android tablets to teach kids in developing regions how to read.
