Marva Smalls, a seasoned executive with over three decades of experience in the public and private sectors, is making waves as the Global Head of Inclusion at ViacomCBS and Executive Vice President of Public Affairs, Kids & Family Entertainment Brands at ViacomCBS Media Networks. With a dual role as the EVP of Global Head of Inclusion Strategy and Public Affairs & Chief of Staff, Nickelodeon at Viacom, she implemented best-in-class diversity and inclusion initiatives that inspire employee engagement and foster a collaborative culture. At ViacomCBS, her role includes implementing strategic initiatives and fostering partnerships that promote and advance diversity, inclusion, and belonging for ViacomCBS with both internal and external stakeholders globally. Under her leadership, she established Viacom's Employee Resource Groups globally and expanded key partnerships in international markets.

Before joining Viacom in 1993, Smalls served in the administration of South Carolina Governor Richard Riley and was the Chief of Staff for U.S. Congressman Robin Tallon (D-SC). She was also the first African-American Chief of Staff for a white Southern Member of Congress. She's a founding member of the Black Economic Alliance and serves on numerous boards, including the American Theatre Wing, the International African American Museum, the James Beard Foundation, and Synovus Bank/South Carolina.

Smalls graduated from the University of South Carolina with a graduate and undergraduate degree, where she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities. In addition, she founded the Marva Smalls Endowment, which has awarded more than $1.5 million to programs for youth and families, as well as a $1 million endowment to the Ronald McNair Center to support aerospace students from underrepresented populations. She currently resides in New York and South Carolina.
