Rosemary M Rivas, a seasoned litigator specializing in consumer protection, is currently a partner at Gibbs Law Group LLP. Her work has led to corporate changes in business practices and she has recovered millions on behalf of consumers. Notable cases include Pappas v. Naked Juice, Case No. 2:11-cv-08276, and Lima v. Gateway, Case No. SACV-09-1366, in which she helped secure a $9 million settlement and $195 refunds for each purchaser respectively.

Recognized as a Rising Star by Law & Politics Magazine in 2009, 2010, and 2011, Ms. Rivas was awarded the Guardian of Justice award from Bay Area Legal Aid in 2015 for her work achievements in the law and for her role in directing essential cy pres funds to ensure equal access to the civil justice system. She is a member of the California bar and can practice in the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern U.S. District Courts of California as well as before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ms. Rivas has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from San Francisco State University and her Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of Law. She is fluent in Spanish and a former board member and diversity director of the Barristers Club of the San Francisco Bar Association.
