Laura Gentile, the Senior Vice President at ESPN, is a successful businesswoman with an impressive background in marketing and advertising, with a focus on women's sports. Gentile is recognized as the founder of espnW, a platform dedicated to empowering women who possess a keen interest in sports, who is also responsible for expanding ESPN's presence in the lives of women who love sports. She has previously served as Vice President, Office of the President at ESPN, and Senior Director, Marketing. Gentile has received several honors, including WICT's Signature Accolade for espnW's Global Sports Mentoring Program, and has also served as a fellow of WICT's Betsy Magness Leadership Institute Class XVII.

Gentile graduated from Duke University with a double major in English and Political Science, and later earned her MBA in Marketing and Organizational Behavior from Boston College's Carroll Graduate School of Management. While at Duke University, she gained All-America and All-ACC honors in field hockey and was a two-time team captain, leading Duke to their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
