Bill Colston, the CEO and Founder of Sestina Bio, LLC, has an impressive background as a serial entrepreneur and senior leader in the biotech industry. With nearly 20 years of experience at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, he was instrumental in building the first civilian biodefense program in the United States.

Bill's expertise extends beyond biodefense as he has also founded new start-ups in the Tools, Therapeutic, and Diagnostic markets. His inventions include Droplet Digital PCR™, commercialized in his first company (QuantaLife), and capabilities to create large, high-quality addressable libraries of peptides for therapeutic and diagnostic uses, established in HealthTell Inc.

Following the acquisition of HealthTell by iCarbonX, Inc., Bill became the President and ran worldwide operations for the company. He is also a board member of several other companies, and holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
