Dhruv Patel

Dhruv Patel is a talented Mechatronics Engineer who is passionate about working with people, robots, and technology. With a diverse skill set and various accomplishments and qualifications, this Loramily (Loran Scholars family) member has vast experiences ranging from community development to enterprise, retail tech associates to data science internships, and much more.

Alongside completing his Mechatronic Engineering Degree from the renowned University of Waterloo, Dhruv has actively pursued his interest in badminton, where he has achieved some major milestones, including Gold medals in Arctic Winter Games and Provincial Badminton. He's a certified Badminton coach and represented his city as a Mayor's Advisory Council Youth Representative.

Dhruv is also passionate about developing STEM education for wildfire recovery in Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo as the co-founder of YouthComputing - a non-profit organization. He has also held a number of product management roles at various tech companies to further develop his professional experience, including GraphPath, Skylight, Blueprint, Rokk3r, and Omnia Labs (acquired Dec 2019).
