I have worked for Embassy Summer School at their leading school at the University College London for a number of summers as an Activity Leader (June-August 2013 & 2014); I was promoted to a managerial role within the school, having shown my strengths as an effective communicator and organisational skills. As an Assistant Accommodation Manager, I was responsible for allocating over international 250 students and staff in central London university halls. This involved: - Providing 24/7 assistance for students and staff.- Liaising with co-managers, university administrators and, maintenance and cleaning staff.- Ensured that the schools' and student's needs were always met in a timely manner.- Organising bookings to some of London’s top attractions for students staying within my residential halls.- Managing arriving and departing airport transfers for students and other international groups.- Dealing with all accounts on a weekly basis

I was hired by a local artist, Maeve Doherty (<a href="http://www.maevedohertyartist.com">www.maevedohertyartist.com</a> ) as a Curator for her exhibition during the Kilkenny Arts Festival. This role required me to be very flexible, customer focused and event manage the duration of the exhibition. Other tasks involved:- Lead the setup of the exhibition, managing a small team.- Communicate with staff, customers, and other exhibitors in friendly and professional manner.- Meet with local news and press reporters- Provided guided tours to visitors of the exhibition- Developed a passion for Event Management & Marketing- Ad Hoc sales duties

- Organise, manage and lead activities & trips. Such trips for example could be a day trip to Cambridge or to one of London's main tourist attractions.- Enthusiastically promoted and sell the week’s activity programmes, such as BBQs, pub crawls and optional trips- Maintained a proper level of student discipline, safety & welfare at all times- Carried out residential supervision duties, including meal time & bedtime- Guardian duties involved "parenting" a small group of students, with daily meetings focusing on student welfare, organising departure details and communicating with your students. Guardian duties also dealt with managing student finances such as their room deposits and monies for optional trips.- Administration work detailing with telephone, online and personal queries/ issues, along with dealing with money, travel, accommodation and general admin.

Activity Leader

Part of the team that setup the exhibition and then became responsible of all the required communication and internal press activities as well as providing guided tours to visitors in both Italian an English languages. Other tasks involved: - Marketing the gallery’s up-coming events using online social media platform. - Enthusiastically promoted and sell the week’s activity programmes, such as a cinema, conventions and cultural activities.
