John Tan
John Tan, a former career officer in the Republic of Singapore Air Force, has accumulated extensive leadership and management skills throughout his 16 years of service. He has held several command and staff appointments, including Commanding Officer of an Air Defense Artillery Battalion and Head of Computer & Information Systems at the RSAF headquarters. John has served on special assignments such as the Overall Cue Master of the Millennium National Day celebrations and the evaluation and acquisition of F16 fighter aircraft for the RSAF.
After leaving the military, John became a publisher and editor at tech4tea, where he collaborates with companies to develop branding and image strategies. He has expertise in public relations, investor relations, corporate communications, and marketing communications. John also served as the Chief Communications Officer at MaNaDr Mobile Health, where he led the communication and branding strategies. He created and produced content for both traditional and web media channels.
John is a graduate of the University of Cambridge, where he earned a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Engineering degree. He also received training in Strategic Management from NUS Business School and completed the Command & Staff Course at the Japan Air Self Defense Force Air Staff College. At the Civil Service College, John studied Public Policy Perspective, further enhancing his leadership and management skills.
