Humberto Ramos Mejía

Humberto Mejía is an experienced IT project and digital transformation manager with a strong professional track record of delivering simultaneous, complex, and large IT projects on time, within budget, and to the customer's satisfaction. With extensive IT expertise and well-rounded skills, he aims to foster higher professional standards in project management and digital transformation using integrity, accountability, transparency, discipline, and clarity. Humberto began his academic journey by obtaining a degree in IT from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México followed by his Master's degree in Information Technology Management from Fundación Universidad de las Américas Puebla, and later a Doctorate in Project Management, Dirección de Proyectos at Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México. He continued his education by studying several professional training courses and diplomas on multi-faceted approaches, including IT risk management, project management, and digital transformation.

Humberto's professional experience began as an IT Project Lead at Grupo Nacional Provincial SAB/AXA before moving on to become a Lead IT Project Manager at SEER, where he managed multi-site digital projects across Latin America. From there, he took on the role of a Senior IT Project Manager at everis, where he applied his project management skills to lead Enterprise Software Development Projects. He moved on to become the Latin America IT Project Manager at The Coca-Cola Company, where he scaled their software development capabilities across Latin America. He later became a Project Management Office Director at Nokia, where he oversaw a portfolio of IT projects in Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. After that, he became an IT Management Consultant at PwC, where he advised major corporations, including Mexico's Federal Government, on IT risk and project management practices. Later on, he worked as an Information Technology Controller at Grupo Financiero Banorte, where he analyzed IT expenditures and led strategic IT initiatives. In his most recent role as a Digital Transformation Program and Project Manager at Santander Tecnología, he led a transformational program for Santander Group's Mexican subsidiary.

Humberto has also used his experience and knowledge to benefit the community, becoming a Speaker, Coach, Trainer, Blogger, Author, and Connector at Project Managers Network - PMN. His multilingual abilities–fluent in Spanish, English, and conversational in Portuguese–have further helped him develop his superior inter-personal, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills.
