Amy Friedman, a nonprofit CEO and educator, has dedicated her career to helping children escape poverty through education. She possesses exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of both the visionary and tactical aspects of addressing this challenge. Amy has extensive experience in literacy, non-profit leadership, fundraising, and K-12 education policy and instruction. Her passion for education and commitment to developing solutions for kids have enriched her career.
Amy holds an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language and a BS in Linguistics, both from Georgetown University. She has served in various leadership roles in Denver Public Schools, including Chief of Staff to the Superintendent and Teacher. Currently, she serves as the President and CEO of Book Trust, where she has leveraged her skills to improve the literacy rate among children.
