Alejandro Ferrer boasts a long and accomplished career in law, politics and diplomacy in Panama. He was Counselor of International Trade at the Panamanian Embassy in Washington D.C., Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Commerce and Industry in his home country. At an international level, he acted as Ambassador to the World Trade Organization, Deputy Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, and served as a member of the Roster of Panelists for Dispute Settlement under the US-CAFTA DR FTA. Ferrer is also an experienced attorney and was previously a partner at the Aleman, Cordero, Galindo & Lee law firm. Drawing on his vast expertise, he is also an Honorary Business Representative for the International Enterprise Singapore in Panama. In recognition of his leadership potential and achievements, Ferrer has been named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, and a CALI Fellow by the Central America Leadership Initiative.
