I currently manage a group of Revenue Officers as part of the Small Business/Self Employed (SBSE) division of the Internal Revenue Service. We work directly with individual and business taxpayers in an effort to help them resolve delinquent tax matters. In addition, we educate those taxpayers assigned to our inventory on how to remain in full compliance with tax filing, payment and deposit requirements moving forward. The team of Revenue Officers I supervise work exclusively in the field for the collection of delinquent taxes and securing of returns. We represent the final level of collection efforts for the Internal Revenue Service and work specifically with those taxpayers who have not taken advantage of previous avenues provided by the Service to resolve their respective accounts. Aside from my day to day duties as a Supervisory Revenue Officer, I am also a certified instructor for the IRS. Throughout the course of the year, I am called upon to teach courses designed for Revenue Officers who are relatively new to the job as well as highly technical courses for those Revenue Officers who regularly work our more complex taxpayer cases. I serve as a mentor to Revenue Officers interested in career advancement and function as a management representative for our Dallas Territory leadership development program. From time to time, I am given the opportunity to serve on various detail assignments that often involve working with Senior Management officials within the IRS. Those efforts typically are centered around improvements in training provided, quality of work performed and policy/procedural changes. I am highly skilled in the area of financial analysis and tax enforcement tools permitted by the IRS to execute if deemed necessary along with a comprehensive knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code and associated tax law.

I served as a Revenue Officer with the task of collecting delinquent taxes and/or returns from both individuals and businesses assigned to my inventory. I also served as an On-The-Job Instructor for incoming Revenue Officers as well as an Acting Group Manager when called upon to do so.
