Teresa Simoes is a seasoned financial executive with over two decades of experience in the industry, seven of which were spent as a CFO, and two as the head of a corporate venture fund. Simoes has a knack for challenging and developing businesses with the goal of creating shareholder value. With her demonstrated ability to streamline operations, improve financial performance, increase productivity, implement IT systems and ERP systems, enhance internal controls, drive growth, increase efficiency and bottom-line profit, she is an asset at any organization she joins. Simoes has been involved in more than 20 boards across varied industries such as FMCG, IT IS and BPO, specialized retail, Automotive services, Shipbuilding, and defense. Simoes has extensive knowledge of IFRS, SOX, and Brazilian Gap requirements and is an excellent communicator and interpersonal skills, making her effective in establishing rapport with stakeholders, including owners, investors, management, and staff. Simoes has a postgraduate degree in global management from Harvard Business School and is a Harvard alumni member.
