Bobby Ren is an accomplished software engineer with over 14 years of experience in designing and building complex systems. Ren is a leader, innovator, and expert in mobile technology used for social engagement, payments, health and fitness, digital connectivity, and disruptive technology. Ren was a former Senior Software Engineer at Square and is currently a Senior iOS Engineer at MasterClass.

Ren studied M.Eng, EECS at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has worked with multiple companies involved in health and fitness apps, social networking, payment and commerce, fashion, and high-tech apps.

Ren is interested in meeting people involved in mobile technologies used for social good (education, charity, mental health) as well as environmental advocacy (alternative energy, climate change, biodiversity). Ren also likes to disrupt saving the Earth.

Ren's primary programming language is Swift, and he also has experience in Objective-C and node.js. Ren has built multiple paid and free apps that are in the app store, using various in-house backend technologies at Comcast. Ren is also familiar with other third-party services used for mobile development, including Firebase, Stripe, Apptimize, Localytics, and Splunk. Ren uses Github/Bitbucket, JIRA, Trello, and Slack to manage workflow among multiple developers and designers.
