Concise is a digital media agency with full service offices in New York, London and Hong Kong.

Specialties
Design and production of dynamic iPad apps, iPad rental and native iPad apps

In addition to the invention and execution of 'Chime Live', our iPad applications for live events product, I also oversaw QR code reader apps, online delegate registration and management applications, secure file sharing offerings and live webcasting service (clients included eBay and Cisco).

We also designed built an extensive catalog of 2D/3D games utilising novel interfaces such as the Wii Balance board and Kinect motion tracking camera.

Other developments have included more left-field solutions, from proximity sensing tiles for interactive training displays to turning a full sized mini car into a giant space invaders game for a motor show.  

Internal DevOps projects included the inception and design of our own in-house content management system, 'Site Manager' for automated creation of Chime apps and 'Site cleaner' to automatically and securely remove PII data from apps.

Head of Interactive Media

Originally joined as a dotcom startup called 'The IT Network', prior to acquisition by Reed Elsevier. 

Leading a team of producers, designers, developers and copywriters (approx 15-30 staff during tenure), producing commercial websites for technology companies.

Clients included Intel, Microsoft (launch platform for .NET), Hewlett-Packard (launch website for the Pocket PC platform), AMD, Oracle, SUN and Novell.

Working closely with the RBI marketing department we delivered over 250,000 HTML emails per month over four different publications.

During my tenure I was also heavily involved in the rebranding, design and launch of the ComputerWeekly website, along with the support of several sites for associated publications.

Head of Production

Working with a small team of copywriters and designers, offering software development, project management and website development services.

Produced websites and CD-ROMs for Southbank University, The National Trust, The Rotary Club, Granada Learning, Sunderland Football Club and Somerfield supermarkets.

Undertook development work for two games for the Gameboy.

Eleven months working with an SME called 'Robot Simulations Ltd' on a completely new version of their market-leading '3D Workspace' robot simulation package, used extensively in the automotive industry to plan and program automated workflow. I undertook C++ development work on the kinematic simulation of robot joints and designing the software UI.  

Project manager for a multi-company research project with the Charité research hospital in Berlin.

Joined as an early stage start-up company called 'Interactive Learning Productions' prior to its rapid growth and acquisition by Granada. Developed a number of award winning and best selling educational multimedia CD-ROMs before becoming corporate software development manager and building a range of commercial websites, games and interactive media.
