Kausar Mohammed is a prominent figure in the arts activism and entertainment industry, best known for co-founding Shift, a consulting company focused on shifting the culture of complacency on systemic oppression by facilitating conversations on equity, diversity & inclusion and sexual harassment prevention. Kausar's exceptional work in this field has earned her accreditation from NBC, Huffington Post, and Al-Jazeera. She studied Communications and International Development Studies, Theatre Minor at University of California, Los Angeles, and Universidad de Granada.

Kausar's professional journey also includes working as an Actor and TV Host at Talent with ARC Artist Management and as a Development and Production Assistant at L.A.C.E.R. Afterschool Programs. She has also held roles in Brand Integration at The Story Lab, Dentsu-Aegis Network, Communications and Development at Brave New Foundation, Production Assistant at Bay Area Pictures, Documentary Production at 9 Elephants, Events and Marketing at Seattle Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs, News Room at KTVU, Professor's Assistant: UCLA Sociology Department at UCLA, Public Relations and Marketing at PRx Communication Strategists, Public Relations at Spelling Communications, Marketing and Advertising at The Daily Bruin, Northern California Media Outreach at Aga Khan Foundation USA, and Youth Wing Executive Co-Chair at India Waves Television Network.

Kausar is passionate about creating more visibility for communities of color and historically marginalized folks. She embodies this by fostering community in her daily life, and producing and acting in TV, film, and live comedy projects. She is also a member of Upright Citizen's Brigade House Maude sketch team, Emerald, and all South-Asian sketch comedy team, The Get Brown. When she's not busy with her entrepreneurial and artistic ventures, Kausar can be found enjoying excessive samples at a local FroYo shop or exploring the shelves of a used bookstore.
