Anna Bauer
Anna Bauer, a Genetic and Reproductive Epidemiologist, has an extensive background in academia, research, and community service. Bauer holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiology and a Master's Degree in Maternal and Child Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Previously, she studied Environmental Science and Health Policy at Duke University and also studied the Program in Development, Health, and Society in Kenya. In her career, Bauer has worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and has held positions as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Graduate Research Assistant. She has also interned at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and the Brunswick County Health Department, served as an Associate in Research at Duke University, and volunteered with the Peace Corps.
As a Genetic and Reproductive Epidemiologist, Anna Bauer has expertise in research related to reproductive health, environmental exposures, and pediatric mental health. She has also taught epidemiology courses and mentored students. Bauer's research has been published in a variety of academic journals, and she has presented her findings at numerous conferences. Her work has focused on topics such as prenatal exposure to environmental toxins, maternal mental health, and child development. In addition to her academic work, Bauer's community service has included working on girls' education and empowerment programs.
