Briony is a Senior Associate in Ashurst's international finance department in London. Briony advises financial institutions, funds and corporate borrowers on acquisition financings (both public and private), corporate and investment grade facilities, fund financing transactions (including subscription/capital call facilities and asset backed leverage facilities) and other secured and unsecured lending transactions in both the domestic and international arena.

As an Associate in the Commercial and Regulatory group I regularly advise on procurement and commercial contracting matters and have a range of commercial law experience, including advising on strategic procurements and risk management as well as the drafting and negotiating contracts.

I provide advice to a range of both Commonwealth Government and private clients on privacy, tendering, contracting, probity and strategic issues in relation to the drafting, management and interpretation of contractual rights, agreements and procurements.

During this secondment I managed UBS's PPSA implementation project and provided advice on various aspect of the PPSA including transaction structures, contractual amendments and registration/perfection strategies.

Legal Secondee

As a lawyer in the Banking & Finance team I acted for a range of Australian and international banks and financial institutions, and listed corporate entities in the areas of acquisition and leverage, asset and corporate finance and providing advice in relation to the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth) (PPSA).
