Emily began acting professionally before she turned 5, working in regional theatre, industrials, local commercials, and film. Her career blossomed from there as people saw and requested her for other projects. As an actor, she has performed all over the world, including at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, in the American production of "Ghetto" directed by Israeli playwright Joshua Sobol, and for President and Mrs. Clinton at The White House. She was on "One Life to Live" on ABC as "Mary" the diner waitress from 2004-2006. Other television credits include appearances on "Saturday Night Live," "The Education of Max Bickford," and "Conviction." She graduated from Wesleyan University's acclaimed Film Studies program with a BA in 2001, completing the program in only 3 years.

I interned in the Baltimore Orioles' Public Relations Department. By the end of my first day of work, I was in the locker room with the whole [naked] team, getting post-game quotes. Not only was I the only person in the room with clothes on, I was the only woman in the room, and the youngest person in the room. I was 17! I learned a lot that summer.
After working for the Orioles in the '97 season, I got to continue my work in Sports PR with their AA League team, the Bowie Baysox, where I got more responsibility in a smaller organization.
