Luis Alcalde is a highly qualified engineer with extensive experience in 3D printing and electronics engineering, particularly in the development of special projects. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Technical Industrial Engineering, Industrial Electronics from UPC and a master's degree in Electronics Engineering from 浙江大学. Additionally, he studied Ingeniero Electrónico, Ingenieria at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

Luis has an impressive track record in his professional life, having worked for several organizations, including Launcher, Loomia, Autodesk, Natural Machines, and 3DIGITALCOOKS. While serving as Head of Special Projects at Launcher, Luis worked on multiple projects and managed a team of engineers. At Loomia, he worked as a 3D printing and control expert. Before that, Luis participated in AiR - 3D Food Printing Research at Autodesk and served as a 3D food printing engineer at Natural Machines.

Aside from that, Luis has a passion for entrepreneurship and has worked as an entrepreneur in one of his ventures. He started LightYourselfUp, a technology company for prototyping and designing printed circuit boards.

Luis has also lectured at his alma mater—UPC—as a teacher. He has been a Junior software engineer at IMB-CNM, CSIC, involved in different support and maintenance activities at EUETIB, and supported and maintained informatics at the Official College.
