Nick Plugis
Nick Plugis is a seasoned professional in the field of chemical biology, with an accomplished academic background and multiple leadership roles in startups and established organizations. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from Stanford University, where he also studied Stanford Ignite at the Graduate School of Business. His Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Economics from Middlebury College provides a solid foundation in the fundamentals of these fields. Plugis is now a Principal at Flagship Pioneering, where he leverages his expertise to support companies in sectors ranging from healthcare and sustainability to food and agriculture. Prior to this role, he co-founded Laronde and Cellarity and was part of the founding team at Ring Therapeutics. Additionally, he worked at SCIMALS, holding positions ranging from Vice President to Analyst, and was a VentureLabs Fellow at Flagship Pioneering. He also provided research assistance at Middlebury College and The MGH/HST Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging.
