Magdalena Aguilar, an experienced program manager, has dedicated her career to the field of human rights, with a particular emphasis on children's rights. Graduating from the International Institute of Social Studies with a Master's degree in Human Rights, Development, and Social Studies, and a Bachelor's in Sociology and Philosophy from American University, Magdalena has worked with various international organizations, civil societies, and academia to effect meaningful change in the world. Her expertise in nonprofit organizations, government, advocacy, partnership building, and international relations has enabled her to forge strong relationships with government officials, donors, UN representatives, private sectors, and key stakeholders.

Magdalena's passion for human rights and social justice has led her to establish successful programs that address sensitive areas in children's well-being. In her capacity as Director for Digital Programmes at RNW Media, she has strategically designed and executed programs to empower young people with information and resources. Prior to this position, Magdalena served as Co-Chief Executive of Child Helpline International, where she developed programs that helped countless children in need. Furthermore, her leadership as the Deputy and Acting Head of Programme Development and Programme Manager for the Americas and the Caribbean at Child Helpline International positively impacted children in underprivileged situations. In her previous roles, Magdalena has demonstrated a commitment to human rights and a desire to create a long-lasting change through effective inter-agency relationships.
