Martin McTighe is a seasoned Sr. Quality Engineer with an impressive background in aerospace, microelectronics, surface grind machining, and high tech manufacturing. He boasts of an array of career accomplishments, including initiating critical process improvements, developing vacuum systems for the removal of internal casting contaminants, and designing and implementing a recycled/reusable source for inorganic coatings, resulting in significant cost reductions while improving yield and reliability.
Martin has extensive experience collaborating with process engineers, conducting experiments, and using Cpk data to make process improvements that enhance product quality. He also maintains a customer return percentage of 0.001% for all responsible products, significantly reducing MRB inventories through monthly technical reports to maintain lean inventory levels.
Besides his quality engineering expertise, Martin is skilled in process engineering, vacuum science, electronics, fluid dynamics, laser and optical systems, robotics, critical methods planning, analysis of variance, design of experimentation, process capability, measurement systems analysis, and continuous improvement.
He holds an A.S. in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry from the University of New Haven, a B.S. in Marketing and Information Systems from Marist College.
Martin has held various roles in different organizations, including Seitz LLC, EDAC Technologies, TRUMPF North America, Siemens Healthineers, and Alcoa Power and Propulsion. Currently, he's the Sr. Quality Engineer at Nypro, a Jabil company.
