Sophia Wennstedt is a multifaceted professional with a background in mechanical engineering, UX design, and project management. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Harvard University before joining iRobot, where she worked her way up from an intern to an Associate Mechanical Engineer, then a Mechanical Engineer, and finally a Project Manager. In her last role, she managed cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, quality, and timely delivery of designs for the Roomba product line. Sophia is passionate about innovation, renewable energy, and climate justice, which led her to pursue an MBA and MS in Design Innovation at Northwestern University. As an Entrepreneurial Fellow at Exelon, Sophia works tirelessly to advance innovative solutions that drive growth, sustainability, and customer value. Sophia's skills include project management, design for large volume manufacturing, and proficiency in various software tools such as Creo3 Parametric, Windchill, and Solidworks 2016. She is also familiar with programming tools such as Matlab, Labview, Arduino/RaspberryPi, and Microsoft Office Suite. Her interests encompass STEM education outreach, energy policy, and design thinking.
