Jean-Luc Pierite is a seasoned professional who specializes in international procurement, logistics management, and community-based language revitalization. With an educational background in humanities, mass communication, video game design, and a certificate of completion from Academany, Jean-Luc brings a uniquely diverse set of skills to his various roles.
Currently, Jean-Luc serves as the International Procurement and Logistics Manager for The Fab Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing digital fabrication education, research, and economic development. Jean-Luc is also a complementary Community Manager for fablabs.io, which is a platform that connects a global network of fab labs (small scale workshops for digital manufacturing) to share knowledge and resources.
Jean-Luc's passion for preserving languages and cultures is evident in his volunteer work as President of the Board of Directors for the North American Indian Center of Boston, his role as a Community Linguist on the Advisory Circle for CoLang, and his contributions to the Tunica Language Project collaboration with Tulane University in New Orleans and the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana.
