After being promoted to a different project, I managed, wrote and edited the Federal On-Scene Coordinator’s report detailing the Coast Guard’s response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Working on a team of five, I designed and implemented new layout, structure, and formatting for the manual. I edited the existing text for readability, grammatical correctness, and compliance with GPO style and helped bring it to print.

Created business through five pillar editorial content strategy encompassing digital, video, social, e-mail, and events marketing. Guide production of 30+ unique articles per week across five content verticals. Managed team of 16 staff including editors, sales, and social media managers. Developed, sold, and managed tri-city content partnerships to drive business results for clients including Capitol One, Rent the Runway, José Andrés restaurant group. As a technical writer and contractor to the Coast Guard, I collaborated with lawyers, economists, environmental analysts, members of the military, engineers and other subject matter experts to create readable and accurate regulatory documents. Honed attention to detail, as I ensured perfection of template, format, grammar and style in rulemaking documents, press releases and talking points. I developed expertise in GPO style and Federal Register formatting and created a training program for new technical writers.
