Iris de Graaf is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in strategic engagement, business development, and policy advising. With a Master's degree in International Relations and a postgraduate certification in foreign policy, Iris has worked in various organizations, including IFC International Finance Corporation, The World Bank, and the Dutch House of Representatives, where she served as the Principal Staffer to a member of Parliament, developed legal background papers, campaign strategies, and proposed policy changes. Iris has also worked as a teaching assistant, consultant, and researcher at different academic institutions, including Centre for Terrorism and Counterterrorism and Utrecht University, among others. At IFC Venture Capital, Iris leads special initiatives and advancement of partnerships with investors, entrepreneurs, corporates, and other stakeholders in emerging markets, focusing on accelerating technology and entrepreneurship.
