Lisa Owen is an accomplished wildlife biologist, conservation educator and trainer, with over 4 years of small business ownership in wildlife education and management. Owen has an impressive academic background, obtaining a Master's degree in Animal Science and Management, with a focus on Wildlife Biology from The University of Queensland. In addition to this, Owen has also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Animal Studies, a Certificate IV in TAE and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, General from Griffith University. Owen boasts a wealth of professional experience, having worked as a Ranger, Senior Environmental Project Officer, Senior Wildlife Officer, and Wildlife Officer across the Department of Environment and Science. She has also worked as a Camp Coordinator and Orangutan Field Researcher at the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation, and as a Rehabilitation & Release Coordinator for Colobus Conservation. Owen's expertise spans a range of areas, from wildlife management and research, ecological surveys, and project and staff management. She is passionate about conservation education and training, as well as wildlife rehabilitation and release.
