Werner Bijkerk is a global strategy consultant with vast experience in financial markets and regulation. He is a tutor at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, an advisor to international organizations like the Asian Development Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, and the International Monetary Fund. Werner is a leading expert in the design and implementation of regulatory strategies to improve investor protection, market efficiency and the identification and mitigation of risks. With a background both in economics and art & architectural history, he has deep knowledge of markets, products, and regulation, as well as the needs of the industry. Werner was the former Head of the Research Department at the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), and has worked at the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), Nyenrode University, and in the private sector.
