Cindy Williams is a strategic chief legal officer and general counsel with a proven track record of developing and executing high-impact legal strategies that drive corporate goals and business success. She has extensive experience and knowledge in technology, litigation, data privacy, and policy, and has been recognized as an effective leader of government and regulatory affairs. Cindy has been instrumental in profiting from new technologies at four companies and leading successful initiatives in different environments, including a highly regulated telecommunications provider, a venture-backed technology startup, and publicly traded corporations.

Cindy's achievements include collaborating with several stakeholders to develop, launch, and market 1-800's mobile application, which led to tremendous growth. She also defined Federal Signal's technology commercialization plan with a $50M public-private partnership, scaled cloud-based technology to generate $100M new business at InterAct, and developed expertise in advertising technology to defend against government enforcement actions. In addition, she has managed successful health information privacy operations for 1-800 Contacts, transformed privacy and data breach policies to comply with federal regulations at InterAct, and redrafted privacy procedures and breach activation plans in two different companies.

Cindy's legal skills and expertise have been honed with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan. She currently serves as Vice President, Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary at Sorenson Communications, and previously held positions as General Counsel and Senior Vice President at 1-800 CONTACTS, Secretary & General Counsel at InterAct Public Safety Systems, and Corporate Counsel and Director of Government Affairs at Federal Signal Corporation.
