Marie Lora-Mungai is a seasoned strategic consultant, investment advisor, and entrepreneur with a thriving career spanning several sectors of the African creative and tech industries. She is well-known in the industry as the publisher of HUSTLE & FLOW, a popular newsletter that provides insights into business opportunities in the African entertainment space. As the CEO and executive producer at Restless Global, Marie offers solutions to international companies, institutions and investors looking to expand their businesses to Africa, especially Nigeria. Her advisory work has benefited clients such as Warner Bros., UNESCO, Twitter Films, FilmOne Entertainment, TRACE, Olympia Le Tan, Galleries Lafayette, and French development banks AFD and Proparco.

Marie's hands-on experience includes founding talent agency Restless Talent Management, Buni.tv, an African VOD platform that TRACE acquired in 2016; and Buni Media, a Nairobi-based studio that produces the highly successful political satire shows THE XYZ SHOW (Kenya) and OGAS AT THE TOP (Nigeria). Furthermore, Marie co-created and co-wrote several TV shows, including the Nigerian crime drama THE TRADE, currently set up at Sony Television.

Before her entrepreneurial career, Marie worked as an award-winning television journalist. She spent ten years working as a correspondent and producer across 3 continents, covering 25 African countries for CNN, Reuters TV, AFP TV, and the BBC. Her work has played a vital role in informing and entertaining audiences worldwide on African issues.

Marie Lora-Mungai holds a Master's in Political Science from Sciences Po (Paris) and an ESCP Business School (Paris) Master's degree in Marketing and Communications. In 2017, the World Economic Forum named her a Young Global Leader in recognition of her impressive achievements in the industry.
