Thea Knobel is a well-educated, multilingual, public speaker and an education advocate. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising, minoring in Entrepreneurship and Leadership, from Chapman University. She also completed a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies and Innovation, graduating with honors at the University of Southern California. Additionally, she obtained certifications in Negotiations and Organizational Conflict Resolution from Harvard University and Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management from the Berlin School of Economics.

Currently, Knobel is the Vice President of Platform and Marketing at GSV Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in startups that transform the future of education. Her responsibilities include community development, branding and content, and strategic portfolio support for founders. She also spearheads GSV backed initiatives such as the ASU+GSV Summit and a million-dollar pitch competition.

Knobel's background in venture capital extends to her time as VC Investor and Director of Platform at Stealth and Venture Associate at Techstars. Additionally, she shares her knowledge of entrepreneurship as a guest lecturer at the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business.

Her passion for education and marketing also led her to guest lecture at the university level, including her position as Brand and Business strategist at Bloom Startup Consulting, where she worked with startups to develop their communication strategies. Furthermore, her past experiences as Editor in Chief at Prowl Magazine and Contributing Writer at Modern Luxury showcase her talents in media and editorial writing.
