I produce Kara Swisher’s podcast Recode Decode, overseeing its expansion to wider, more diverse audiences. I've been with the show almost since the beginning, producing my first episode in October 2015 and more than 400 more Decode episodes since then.

Although it began as a once-a-week program, as our audience has grown we've transitioned to releasing three episodes per week. Today, Recode Decode comes out every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and is one of the top-rated Technology shows on Apple Podcasts.

My responsibilities for the show include booking guests, liaising with our ad sales team, writing scripts, engineering tapings, writing about our interviews for <a href="http://Vox.com">Vox.com</a>, and promoting them on social media.

On indefinite hiatus: An interview show where I talk to interesting people without knowing what we'll talk about. All the questions are pulled mid-interview from an online database that I created.

In addition to Recode Decode with Kara Swisher, I co-produced Recode Media with Peter Kafka, and I also contributed often to Kara's other podcasts — Too Embarrassed to Ask and its successor, Pivot with Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway.

On our podcast Giant Geek vs. Mega n00b, my co-host Emily Jones and I shared our favorite movies, TV shows, books, and more with our listeners — and each other. We took turns as the "geek" who picked each episodes topic and the" n00b" who had never experienced that thing before; in later seasons, we also brought in guests to further broaden our pop culture horizons. This personal project ultimately served as great preparation for becoming Recode's podcast producer.

I wrote about the fascinating and multi-faceted world of gaming, a beat I began to report on at AllThingsD. This included daily writing about everything from mobile to social to console video games, as well as the emergence of new trends such as virtual reality. From June to October of 2015, I focused almost all of my energies on stories about virtual, augmented and mixed reality.

I've been with Recode — the influential tech news website founded by Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg — since day one. In the site's early days, we had no full-time social media manager, so I split my time between promoting our work on social and reporting on the video game industry.

My unofficial job description while I was an intern was, "No, I won't get you coffee." Thankfully, no one ever asked except in jest. Instead, I wrote a handful of articles and assisted, and then began to lead, social media ops.
