A recruiting coordinator acts as a liaison for candidates in process. I undertake administrative tasks, while also creating and maintaining relationships with hiring managers and engineers as I learn more about the business. I am a part of the process to make the interview experience smooth and enjoyable for candidates and interviewers alike. I am responsible for scheduling candidates over the phone and for in office interviews, as well as ensuring the candidate's questions are all answered thoroughly. As a coordinator, I am constantly updating tracking documents as well as using our ATS system for scheduling and keeping candidate records and process up to date. I also currently manage the internal transfer process within the engineering organization, which allows visibility into the flexible internal mobility at Groupon. I schedule internal candidates with teams they may be a fit for and work with the hiring team to determine when someone is a fit. In a fast paced recruiting environment, I have to maintain flexibility and a positive attitude when it comes to scheduling changes or unforeseen circumstances that crop up suddenly, and maintain a level-head in order to deal with those changes, while quickly and efficiently resolving the issue.

As a recruiting coordinator, I handled all candidate scheduling from phone screens through to final onsite interviews. I managed relationships with staffing agencies and recruiters to ensure that the pipeline was up to date and moving quickly. A key part of the role was tracking candidate data in a company project management tool, Mingle. This included updating candidate status every step of the way in the process and ensuring that at the end of each day, candidates were updated as much as they needed to be. This role included a great deal of calendar management as well as organization and time management skills. Building a rapport and creating relationships with hiring managers was invaluable to success.

As the Development Intern, I worked directly with the Executive Director. I undertook a variety of office management tasks in order to organize the program space upon it's inauguration. As the Development Intern, I also assisted the ED in grant research and grant writing tasks. I organized the fall fundraiser, including venue, catering, raffle prizes, entertainment and logistics. I was responsible for completely transferring all GirlForward files onto the Google Drive system in order to create a real-time updating tracking system. I was usually the first point of contact for any person interested in the organization's mission and vision, and who was interested in getting involved. As the Mentorship Program Coordinator, I was in charge of fielding applications, conducting phone interviews with potential mentor candidates, updating training materials as well as running training sessions for potential mentors and assisting the outreach interns with mentor-mentee matching. I was a mentor's point of contact for any questions or concerns at any time. I read and cataloged mentor evaluations, and addressed any concerns that were brought up. I helped the ED design a completely new mentorship curriculum program and benchmarking protocol, which provided the mentorship program considerable structure as opposed to the previous system.
