Yogi Kulkarni has a diverse and impressive background in Engineering and Software Development, having worked for several prestigious organizations such as Navi, ClassKlap, Flipkart, and ThoughtWorks. As the former VP of Engineering at Navi, Yogi led the development of a cloud-based core-banking system from scratch, with the Navi Lending App being the first product launched on the platform. Prior to that, Yogi was the CTO at ClassKlap, where he helped improve teaching-learning experiences within Affordable Private Schools in India.
Yogi has also worked extensively with Flipkart, where he was part of the core team that conceptualized and built Flipkart's internal cloud platform and led the PaaS team. During his tenure at Flipkart, Yogi helped in rebuilding Flipkart's supply-chain system in 2012. He also took a 6-month sabbatical to build custom hardware, electronics, machines, and embedded systems as part of a digital fabrication course called Fab Academy, run by MIT professor Dr. Neil Gershenfeld.
Before Flipkart, Yogi spent 8 years at ThoughtWorks, where he worked on some of the largest distributed agile projects in the world. During that time, he represented ThoughtWorks India on the Global Technology Advisory Board. In 2006, Yogi took a sabbatical to start a stock analytics startup called Stockhive, for retail investors; raised an angel round and was EIR at Artiman Ventures.
Yogi Kulkarni has a PGDST in Computer Science from the National Center for Software Technology, and a B.Com. in Commerce from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics. He has also studied Digital Fabrication at Fab Academy.
