As an Equities Salesperson my role was to establish and maintain relationships with Portfolio Managers and buy-side analysts. On a daily basis, functions included pitching stock ideas/IPOs/follow-ons, answering client questions, setting up and participating in conference calls with Goldman Sachs Research analysts and arranging management meetings with clients. In Research Sales I worked to know and understand our clients' needs and investment styles. I also played a role in the Equity Capital Markets process, selling transactions such as IPOs, follow-on offerings, and block trades by walking through a company’s investment thesis with investors.
