Evelyn Mayo is a skilled and experienced community educator with a passion for grassroots organizing, strategic advocacy, and social justice. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science with a concentration in Race and Ethnicity from Barnard College and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in City and Regional Planning at the University of Texas at Arlington. Mayo has worked with low-income individuals and communities, specializing in housing, environmental, and community advocacy.

Throughout her career, Mayo has held various positions including Adjunct Instructor and Urban Research Initiative Fellow at Paul Quinn College, Advocate on the Housing, Transportation, and Disaster Team at Disability Rights Texas, and Paralegal Community Revitalization Project at Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas. Additionally, she has served as a Peer Educator at Barnard College Primary Care Health Services and an Earth Institute Researcher at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, among other roles.
