Angel Alvarez is an experienced human factors and ergonomics professional with over 10 years of experience working on national and international projects across many different disciplines. He has a background in psychology, cognitive sciences, and industrial engineering and has studied at many prestigious universities, including Yeshiva University and the Université catholique de Louvain. With his expertise in human factors engineering, Angel has worked for organizations like Pratt & Whitney Canada and the UN-OHS Delivery Safe, Fair and Healthy Workplaces Division, helping to develop policies and practices that make work environments safe, fair, and comfortable for workers.
Currently, he works as a Sr. Health, Safety and Human Factors/Ergonomics Advisor at Ville de Bruxelles - Stad Brussel. In past roles, he has also worked as an ergonomist and a lecturer at various universities, including Sherbrooke University and Université du Québec à Montréal. Angel has also been involved in research to better understand and solve problems related to product design, accident analysis and prevention, vocational training in ergonomics, hygiene, health, and safety at work.
