Brian McAndrews is a seasoned entrepreneur with a passion for transforming major industries through technology. He is the General Partner at FTW Ventures, where he applies his time, money, and network to elevate startups that are building a more sustainable, resilient, productive, and profitable Food System using advanced science and technology in the $10T Food & Agriculture sectors. Brian has led three startups to successful exits and worked on product strategy for several Fortune 500 companies that have touched billions of people worldwide. His move into Food & Ag Tech is driven by a desire to create a legacy that has a positive impact on the world, in large sectors that are ready for transformation and have significant challenges to solve. Brian uses his background in food and beverage and technology to develop the next set of world-changing businesses.

Brian graduated from Cornell University with dual degrees in Computer Science and Science & Technology Studies, with a concentration in HCI. While finishing two degrees, he helped launch a successful startup and discovered his passion for wine through the famous Wines course at Cornell. Outside of work, Brian plays ice hockey, hosts dinner parties, and previously worked as a Wine Director and Assistant Sommelier for a famous movie director in his winery and restaurant group. His expertise includes executive management, fundraising, venture capital, investments, startups, team leadership, business development, product strategy & vision, marketing, UI design, market segmentation, user research, and usability testing.
