Kari Vigerstol is a seasoned water resource engineer and community organizer. She serves as the Director of Water Security Science and Innovation for The Nature Conservancy's Global Water Program, where she utilizes her technical expertise and partnership building knowledge to protect water sources and improve water management in various watersheds across the United States and around the world. Kari also leads the organization's corporate water stewardship work, ensuring that water resource management practices are integrated across all facets of business operations globally. She co-founded Women Who Run the World and was formerly the Water Funds Director of Conservation and Senior Hydrologist at The Nature Conservancy. Kari holds a B.S. and M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a focus on Water Resource Planning and Management from Rice University and the University of Washington, respectively.
