Bret McNab is an experienced attorney with a focus on energy law, oil and gas law, and real estate law. A graduate of Ohio Northern University—Claude W. Pettit College of Law and The College of Wooster, he has worked in various law firms and courts, including Roetzel & Andress, Bowles Rice LLP, and Meyers, Roman, Friedberg & Lewis.

As an attorney, McNab drafts and negotiates various transactional documents, including contracts, agreements, and leases related to energy and real estate laws. He has in-depth knowledge of oil, gas, and mineral laws and can conduct title searches and opinion drafting with regards to oil and gas and other mineral interests in the Marcellus Shale and Utica Shale plays.

McNab's expertise also lies in conducting due diligence with respect to mineral and leasehold rights, and he has provided legal services to clients in all phases of real estate and energy litigation. He has formerly worked as a coal miner, thus having an added advantage in the mining industry.

McNab is admitted to practice before various courts, including the Ohio Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the Wyoming Supreme Court.
