As the technical co-founder and the business strategist, I am responsible for:

-  Leading the vision, business and technical strategy at our growing VR & AR studio. Building a high-performing, geographically dispersed team, establishing multiple partnerships in various industries from architecture and real estate to healthcare and wellness

-  Defining overall business objectives and making sure the financial projections and our operating capital fit with the requirements to achieve these objectives

-  Defining the product roadmaps and established the company’s technology stack from front-end and web-based applications to the back-end solutions, database and cloud infrastructure

-  Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and timely project delivery

-  Leading our team of engineers and interns to write performance aware and compliant code

-  Determining the ideal structures and roadmaps to get out of the way of success for our passionate staff and being there to mentor, nurture growth, and build on their strengths to showcase their potential

-  Designing and developing Stambol VR, a platform agnostic, Virtual Reality enabled, 360-degrees architectural visualization solution to help increase effectiveness of real estate sales presentations

Co-Founder and CEO/CTO

Locopass is an end-to-end location-based content creation and delivery platform for small and medium scale businesses. It is designed to bridge the gap between a user’s physical location and their digital presence by providing relevant, timely and actionable information through local and push notifications. Locopass platform is comprised of a full suite of mobile and web applications as well as back end services for the creation of content and effective delivery of this content based on a user’s physical presence in a geofence and proximity to its proprietary Bluetooth Low Energy Beacons.

-  Led the vision and technical strategy for the company including the design and development of the technology stack

-  Defined the business strategy with co-founders, preparing business presentations and pitching the product and platform at events and investor meetings

-  Designed and implemented the web front-end and backend services related with the business-level content creation and e-commerce utilizing <a href="http://Asp.NET">Asp.NET</a> MVC 5 and Web API 2, Azure SQL Server through Entity Framework, User authentication and access control through OAuth2

-  Designed and implemented the mobile applications and back end services targeting consumers’ access to content created by businesses. The applications were built using Apache Cordova, AngularJS and Ionic Framework and supports iOS 9+ and Android 5+ with authentication through Facebook Login

-  Worked with our hardware vendor to design and implement the correct strategy for the firmware and correctly access the broadcast data, ensuring we comply with iBeacon specifications

-  Worked on the certification of our BLE hardware by FCC, Industry Canada and CE to bring our product in various markets

-  Worked with Federal and Provincial Trade Commissioners to develop new channel partnerships to bring our product to market in US, UK, Australia and India

Co-Founder and Chief Technologist

- Working as part of the core graphics team on a systems incubation project at Microsoft aimed at developing, applying and experimenting with modern computing tools and concepts for the creation of a more reliable, scalable and high performance software ecosystem

-  Main responsibilities include designing, implementing and maintaining a full graphics stack, from drivers for graphics processing units up to the public high performance graphics APIs

-  Implemented a fully functional driver for an advanced rendering hardware using the specifications provided by the vendor in a newly developed programming language and runtime

-  In order to verify the compliance and performance of this new graphics stack with the existing Microsoft technologies, implemented the library and the application that can play back (PIX) individual commands sent to the GPU from any Microsoft DirectX based graphics application on Windows

-  Implemented and maintained public interfaces for the underlying graphics stack that uses existing Microsoft technologies for backward compatibility

- Worked as part of the engine team, maintaining parts of the core technology behind Splinter Cell: Blacklist

-  Integrated the internal tool for visualizing the game stats in heat-map form overlaid on the birds-eye view of the world to detect problematic areas in the open world environment.

-  Integrated Kinect Speech Recognition Engine into the game and made the functionality available to gameplay and presentation teams and coached them about grammar and lexicon development.

-  Co-led and co-mentored the team with another lead programmer and project manager. Ensured that the implementation of in-game features met the requirements and design. Managed priorities, scheduled tasks and their assignment by utilizing Agile software development practices

-  Guided the entire team to write performance aware code through formal and informal training sessions or code reviews. Profiled and coordinated the optimization of several areas of the game including Simulation, Presentation and Audio

-  Contributed to the development of the core systems libraries and math libraries in particular to be able to take full advantage of the capabilities of the current and next generation of game consoles’ hardware

-  Implemented a sophisticated yet, easy-to-use job manager that utilizes the PPUs and SPUs on Playstation 3 and the hardware threads on Xbox 360 in a platform independent fashion. Parallelized and optimized several parts of the game by moving them to jobs

-  Rearchitected and parallelized the main animation opportunity system in our soccer game Pure Futbol, mainly used by AI engine to utilize the aforementioned job manager.
-      Moved all the opportunity generation to threads on Xbox 360 and the SPUs on Playstation 3
-      By utilizing data oriented design principles, changed the data structures to be more cache friendly and suitable for deferred execution
-      We shipped the game running at 60 FPS starting with a game that was running at 10 FPS before optimizations on Playstation 3

-  Rearchitected and implemented a large portion of the Rendering Engine in our extreme sports title, MotionSports Adrenaline. Pipelined the code to utilize all execution units on both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, to ensure the game hits a consistent 30 FPS with a split screen play mode and high fidelity graphics effects.

-  Ensured efficient design and implementation of a large set of in-game features and technologies for the 2nd version of the awards-winning open-world AAA skateboarding game title, Skate, by offering technical and resource planning expertise.

-  Supported game designers in the creation of the design documents by providing in-depth technical feedback and feasibility information and created tech-brief documents based on the prepared design documents.

-  Led and managed the design and implementation of the system in control of the ambient pedestrians, security guards and other specialized game characters including their physical and visual properties, navigation, animation, behaviours and interaction with their environment as well as their audio requirements.

-  Led and mentored three engineers and worked closely with modelers, animators and game designers and several other members of the development team. In coordination with the Development Director of the crew, managed priorities and scheduled tasks based on the Agile development methods used in the project.

-  Maintained and improved the ambient traffic system by adding new behaviours for certain new features such as the skitching of the skaters behind the vehicles.

-  Designed and implemented the Dynamic Object Management system as part of the complex entity management infrastructure including their physical and visual properties based on the RenderWare physics engine. Also, implemented the object locations’ persistence and priority based spawning and culling mechanism and interactability of these objects by other types of entities such as the skaters, pedestrians.

Electronic Arts

Software Engineer, Lead Gameplay/AI Programmer

As being partly an American L-3 Communications’ company, they worked in collaboration with L-3 Avionics Systems Department to build a civil aircraft deck called SmartDeck based on the DO178B standard from FAA. This embedded system holds a parallel architecture using two symmetric processors and shared memory areas and a third party graphics adapter.

- As a member of the 7-members development team, independently analyzed the requirements, designed, implemented and documented the main graphics modules and the Moving Map and Vertical Map modules of SmartDeck based on the CMM Level-3 processes and DO178B standard

- Organized and managed peer reviews of all the process segments with both the development team members, Quality Assurance team members for CMM-3 compliancy and with FAA authorizers for DO178B standard compliancy

- Worked in the whole reverse engineering process of the OpenGL drivers since the testing team was required to go back from code to the requirements of a system based on the DO178B standard

- Developed a scripting language and framework similar to C++ for testing the units of the OpenGL driver code supplied by another company for the display system so that the 40-members team of inexperienced test engineers could test the code only using the OpenGL functions and macros provided without writing any low level code

- Worked in collaboration with the Independent Verification and Validation team to be able to correctly test the units and modules that were developed for the display system and integrated the main testing engine into the whole system

- Integrated the code at the L-3 settlements using the supplied framework, which makes the system work on Windows environment, into the display system of SmartDeck using Integrity OS and MULTI IDE

The projects that the company held were mainly supported for their R&D aspects by Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey and Technology Development Foundation of Turkey

- Worked as a graphics developer in the TrafiKent Driver Education Simulator Project which is the first and only driver education simulator of Turkey that is used in the driving schools and primary schools

- Worked on the main graphics engine for the project, based on DirectX 7 and 8.1 APIs and created the main scene graph and its definition language for the engine with full support for shaders (DirectX 8.1)

- Created the main scripting language and software library of Graphical User Interface Generator for DirectX based computer programs (GuiGenX) which is based on the Unicode character mapping schema; and also designed and created the user interface of the project with its full multimedia support by GuiGenX

- Created the Road Construction Tool (RCT) using DirectX 7 and MFC

- Created various plug-ins for 3D artists using 3dsmax 4.0 SDK

- Developed the main protocol for communicating with the custom I/O hardware used to get input and provide force-feedback signals using the RS232 port

- Managed the whole deployment process of the simulators

- Worked on integration of motion platforms into the simulation systems

- Worked on distributed simulation systems using HLA, and developed a Tank Driving Simulation System using the wrapper API created before
