Description of Duties: Provide strategic and technical guidance in designing M4P interventions, manage work plans and implementation, assist the partner organizations for training needs analysis (TNA) and coordinate trainings, develop training manuals and other tools, popularize green water culture concept, establish links among farmers with hatcheries, processor and high-end supply chainand service providers, coordinate hatchery management trainings, exposure visits and field tours at home and abroad, ensure quality brood stock development, provide guidance in brood development research (GMT, YY male, pungasius, Koi etc.), Coordinated Tilapia, Pangus and Koi brood import from Philippines and Vietnam, Thailand through partners. Coordinated genetic development research program with Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh deliver periodic project reports to donor and liaise with the partners, DoF and other stakeholders.

Identify the partner NGOs, advise NGOs in preparing the work plan, budget, program implementation and reporting, manage entire recruitment process and staff development, assist the NGO staff in area selection, farmer selection, group formation, data collection, verification and analysis, support in farmers’ group meeting/sessions, NGO staff meetings/training and regional team office meeting, provide technical assistance and training to NGO field staff, identify and select capable entrepreneurs/vendors and maintain linkages to ensure required aquaculture rehabilitation inputs, assist the NGOs in procuring aquaculture-agriculture inputs, conduct research works on first growing fish species e.g. Silver carp, Grass carp, Rui, Catla, Mrigal, Sorputi and Tilapia, assist in the M&E process of the project along with baseline survey, impact assessment and relevant activities and maintain liaison with the Project Manager, DoF, NGOs, local government bodies, input suppliers, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders.

Supervise a hundred offield staff under Netrakona  district,  recruitDTA extension workers, ensure proper selection of target group farmers within the district, conduct baseline surveys, provide technical and other logistic assistance, train the project staffs - aquaculture officers and extension workers/trainers, arrange discussions, seminars, oversee financial management at district level, monitor credit disbursement, report writing and liaise with the District Fisheries Officer (DFO) and different government or non-government entities.

Aquaculture Coordinator

Conduct baseline survey, select and train-up the extension workers for Upazila/Thana units, supervise the project staffs, monitor the farmers’ training courses, manage the micro-credit program at unit levels, popularize the culture practice of prawn nursery and the carps/prawn poly-culture,coordinate demonstrations,liaise with the DoF, Thana administration, local NGOs and participating banks.
